Account and device access
The website uses Clerk for browser account sessions and Convex for Side Whisper user, consent, device, entitlement, and release records. Desktop sign-in uses a dedicated local auth surface and short-lived verification flows.
- Up to three active devices per account
- Device revocation from the website or app
- Protected build downloads with server-side entitlement checks
- Encrypted-only desktop authentication cache when secure storage is available
Plans today
Early Access and Pro are represented in the entitlement model, but public purchase fulfillment and final pricing are not live. The app’s Pro badges are a transparent preview and do not currently disable shipped controls.
Offline grace
A previously validated account may receive a bounded offline grace period when the entitlement service is temporarily unavailable. Revoked devices and expired access are enforced on refresh.
